Avaya G430 and G450 Gateways Are Reaching End of Support - Are You Ready?
Avaya recently issued a support notice announcing the end of manufacturer support for several hardware vintages of the G430 and G450 gateways. Effective January 1, 2026, older versions of both gateway models running Avaya Aura 10.1 and earlier will no longer receive firmware or security updates. For systems running Aura 10.2, support for certain vintages will continue only until June 30, 2026.
If you are on release 10.2, using HW vintage 3 of a G430, future support will continue under GW Firmware version 43.xx.x; however, older versions, such as Vintages 1 and 2, will be EOMS starting June 30th, 2026. Any older versions of Aura, and G430 vintages, are now officially EoMS.
G450’s with continued support Vintage 1,2 and 3 gateways until June 30th, 2026, when combined with Aura 10.2, with long-term support under Vintage 4 and Aura 10.2.
The planned retirement of older hardware is nothing new. Avaya has issued End of Manufacturer Support (EoMS) notices for aging gateway vintages in the past, primarily to address long-term reliability, security updates, and compliance requirements.
What does this mean for you?
If you are running Avaya Aura 10.2 and your gateways are vintage 3 or higher for G430, and Vintage 4 for G450, no action is required. However, gateways below the outlined vintages will need replacement if you wish to receive security updates, and future firmware updates.
For environments where gateways are used solely for DSP resources and announcement provisioning, migrating those functions to the Avaya Media Server may offer a more robust and future-proof solution, while increasing overall DSP resources.
