If you are new to Avaya Session Manager and are familiar with the System Manager administration interface for Session Manager, there are a few command line interface (CLI) commands that you will find useful.
While there are a number of standard Linux commands available at the CLI (arp, netstat, traceroute, ping, etc.) - there are also a handful of commands unique to Session Manager.
SMnetSetup
The SMnetSetup command for the Avaya Session Manager command line launches a script that prompts for network configuration information needed by the server.
This command is necessary during implementation and subsequent network changes. This initial command can be executed, but could impact service depending on selections made.
